KNOW HOW TO RIDE A BIKE and KNOW HOW TO RIDE AN ADAPTED BIKE

SRAV AND SRAVA

Lasting a minimum of 10 hours, the Savoir Rouler à Vélo (SRAV) is aimed at children who know how to ride a bike or not, both during school hours and outside of school (the SRAVA is aimed at children with disabilities). Divided into three blocks of theoretical and practical skills, this learning covers knowing how to pedal (in particular the handling and technical mastery of the bike), knowing how to circulate (the regulations of the practice and the apprehension of other users) and knowing how to ride (the practical application of these lessons in real traffic conditions, i.e. on the road).

The roadway is understood here in the sense indicated in Article R110-2 of the Highway Code, i.e. “part(s) of the road normally used for the circulation of vehicles”.

The objectives of this system are:

  • Becoming independent by bike

  • Practice physical activity daily

  • Travel in an ecological and economical way
